Police arrested two 17-year-old boys on Wednesday for allegedly stealing items from nine cars and damaging six of them in Limassol on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off police confronted the two who were walking in the Limassol area acting suspiciously shortly after midnight.
Officers said they fund in their possession a large number of lighters, a mobile phone without a battery, a phone card, six packets of cigarettes, €29 in cash and various other small items.
Under questioning, the pair subsequently led police to a road where they had broken into the cars. An investigation is ongoing.
Another two people, aged 19 and 17, both from the Limassol district, were arrested for breaking into a school and stealing three computers on Monday evening.
Police were called to the lyceum in Limassol after the security alarm sounded at around 7.40pm.
They found that two of the classrooms had been broken into and three computers worth around €1,400 were missing.
During the investigation following the theft, evidence emerged against two persons aged 19 and 17 years, who were arrested and detained.
When questioned, the two admitted guilt, police said. The stolen property was found later on in one of their homes.
