A jewellery shop owner from Lofou in Limassol has reported to police that a briefcase with valuables worth €100,000 plus €15,000 in cash was stolen from her car on Tuesday afternoon.
The 70-year-old jeweller had gone to meet a prospective tenant for a property of hers and left the briefcase in the car.
When she returned to the vehicle after her meeting, she noticed the briefcase was gone and notified the police who suspect the thieves knew she was carrying the valuables around with her and had followed her.
