An explosion rocked a Nicosia eatery in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to a police announcement at 4.45 the explosion occurred at the To Perasma restaurant in old Nicosia, near the Kolokassi bus depot.
In addition to damages caused to the restaurant, windows were broken in the block of flats it is housed in.
Police officers visited the scene and concluded the explosion was due to a home-made explosive device with high-powered materials.
