Two men aged 32 and 27 were arrested on Saturday night after police said they found burglary tools in the car they were driving in the Pyla area.
According to police at around 10pm officers stopped the car for a routine check. They said they discovered that the driver had no licence, no insurance, and the car was listed as having been withdrawn from circulation.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a number of suspicious items including burglary tools, police said. These included 19 screwdrivers, two knives, 25 keys , four pairs of gloves and six pairs of scissors.
