Police found five kilograms of the explosive Semtex-H shortly after noon Saturday in open space in Larnaca, a police report said.
According to the report, at around 2:40 pm Larnaca CID police acted on a tip and found two bags, each containing 2.5 kilos of high-grade explosive material.
The scene was cordoned off by police, and the bomb squad collected the bags for laboratory examination.
