
A tow truck owned by a 40-year-old man from Sotira was damaged extensively early Tuesday in an arson attack.
According to police, the fire broke out at around 3.30am. The truck was located in the Ayia Thekla area in Sotira.
The fire was put out by the truck’s owner, who told the police he didn’t suspect anyone. The damage is estimated at around €3,000.
Police, following an initial investigation, ruled that it was arson and that the fire was set with the use of a flammable substance.
Famagusta CID is investigating the case.
