
Police In Limassol are investigating a burglary in which the homeowner reported that 80,000 euros in cash and valuables was stolen when she was out on Saturday night.
The 69-year-old said the burglars stole 55,000 in euro notes, 6,000 in American dollars, plus 20,000 euros worth of collectible Cypriot coins and a number of expried bank cards belonging to her son.
The total estimate in lost valuables was 80,230 euros, police said.
Police who went to investigate found damage to a balcony door, from where they estimate the culprit or culprits entered.
